Season 1 Episode 2
Good afternoon.
First of sorry for not posting last week time just got away from me and by the time I remembered it was almost time to post another one so I have just skipped last week.
I am still trying to find the best way to list/talk about the shows I have seen and loved/hated this week. Please contact me if you have any suggestions
So here goes.
This week I have watched (In no particular order)
Shameless (Showtime)
This is still my go to whenever I look at my to watch list. I love how this show still feel's fresh even into it's 8th season. If you watched the original UK version and skipped watching this because you thought if would be another carbon copy then think again, This has some of the best casting I have seen in a long time and William H Macy as Frank Gallagher is just genius. Please do yourself a favour and add this to the top of your "To watch" list. I believe it's available on Netflix
Family guy (Fox)
Simple and easy to watch. Family guy is a great show to watch if you have half and hour to kill, I normally save this one for my journey into work as it does not need my full attention and can be stopped and started many times and I can still keep up with the story line's.
Madam Secretary (CBS)
If I only had access to one TV channel for the rest of my life I think it would have to be CBS as they make some of the best drama's and normally give them the time to bed in and not pull them from the schedule before the story's have even begun. The reason I say this is because of a show like Madam Secretary on paper it's just another political drama but with the surrounding cast help bring in story lines that help the political bit's from getting to boring.
Wisdom of the crowd (CBS)
This "New for 2017" show take's a standard police procedural and adds the use of tech to step it up and this helps separate it from similar shows. The only problem I have is that I now want an app/website just like the one in the show. This show also highlights Jeremy Pivin in a new role that is completely different from his role in Entourage and Mr Selfridges. It is a show that can be hard to follow if you pause it and pick it up later so make sure you are going to set an hour each week to fully watch it.
Comic book men (AMC)
Another easy to watch show that can be saved from travel time's even if you have little to know interest in Comic's or pop coulter you will love the banter between the staff and Brian.
Man with a plan (CBS)
Man with a plan is your typical family based sit-com's with added Matt LeBlanc. Now in it's second season it's a great show for any family members.
The good doctor (ABC)
Along with Chicago Med, The good doctor is a great medical drama with a great visual style when lead character Shaun Murphy is trying to diagnosing patients. I also love the pace of this show as with a lot of medical show's can be a bit too fast to keep up.
Kevin can wait (CBS)
Do you remember "King of queens" with Kevin James well this is now basically the same show so.... Go and enjoy.
Superior donuts (CBS)
I seen no signs of the show running out of steam or story lines. This is another show I normally go to first as it always makes me laugh..
Scorpion (CBS)
Still my go-to Monday show as it has a lot of great use of tech and action.
Lethal weapon (Fox)
Buddy cop show based on famous film franchise. what more do you need to know. if your looking for a great action/comedy this is it.
Bull (CBS)
The recent thanksgiving episode was one of the best of the show's lifetime. I loved the idea of all the staff at TAC being sent home for the holidays leaving Bull to deal with a new case all by himself.
The middle (ABC)
I may be it's last season but it's still as funny as it's first season. I still think Brick is the best character every time he's on screen he has all the best lines.
Chicago Med (NBC)
It's back. the third Chicago franchise show still feels a little left out of some of the storylines that crossover from Fire and PD but that doesn't detract from the great story's being told. with the current shooting of Daniel Charles and the Robin Charles being released from a mental institution is highlighting story's I don't see often on major network show's.
The Jim Jeffries show (Comedy central)
It's the final episode for 2017 and Jim was just as good as you would expect. it's great that this show is on mid week as it means I get John Oliver on a Sunday and the Jim Mid-week.
Storage wars (A&E)
This is a show is one I can put off for a few days but sometime I like to watch it with my dinner as you don't need to hear much of the dialog and it's always interesting to see what they "find".
Survivor (CBS)
This is one of the best reality ever. I love the whole concept of voting other contestants off who then become the people voting for the winner which is that I think channel 5 should do with Big Brother.
Life in pieces (CBS)
Life in pieces is probably one of the best family based show's. Each episode is split into 4 short story's that have a small link and the recent episode's link was Thanksgiving and each story was just brilliant.
Mom (CBS)
This show is still funny but I don't know how long it can keep going without one of the two main cast drastically going off the wagon. if not I think it's only got a few season left.
Young Sheldon (CBS)
Right lets get right to it. This is the best "New for 2017" show and I don't believe that's just because we have a so many seasons of the big bang theory helping to plant story ideas they can use for upcoming episode's. Like the fact Sheldon knows a lot about American football because he use's his maths skills to help his dad coach the high school team or give is meemaw betting advice.
Gold Rush (Discovery)
Ok I don't know why I love this show or why it's one of my go to show's every time a new episode is available.
If you made it all the way down here thank you. I still don't think this layout is the best and might list all the shows I have watched and only talk about a few of them so each post is a little smaller anyway
Thanks for reading see you next time
