Season 1 Episode 3
Welcome back. I know it's been over a month since my last update but thing's should start to get back to normal going forward.
Sunday
Wisdom of the crowd (CBS)
It's getting near the end of this seasons run and is looking unlikely to get a second season but that has not stopped the show from being a great Sunday chill out show. What makes this show so great is that it's your standard case of the week type show but still manages to keep the season story arc in the back of your mind but revealing new evidence every so often, so not only to you want them to sole that weeks case but also get that bit closer to solving the murder of Jeffry Tanners daughter.
On Sunday I also watched
Shameless (Showtime)
Madam secretary (CBS)
Monday
Scorpion (CBS)
It's that time of the year where every show has to do some kind of Christmas themed episode and Scorpion is no different. this year they took the traditional Scrooge story and made it there own by having Walter take on a job by himself on Christmas eve as the rest of the crew have already made plans, but after the falls down the stars the wakes up in a dream where scorpion never existed and he must get them all together in order to help save a man from a car crash. what makes this idea so great is it calls back to past episodes and how they solved those case's.
Also on Monday I watched
Superior donuts (CBS)
Man with a plan (CBS)
Keven can wait (CBS)
Tuesday
The voice (NBC)
What more can I say, the voice is a show that may not have produced may major superstars but I don't think that's the overall goal of this show. When ever I watch this show I see it more of a showcase of different styles and let's the contestants be them selves and not look like they are being told what to sing or ware. What also helps is the viewers are actively encouraged to follower there favourite on social media so you know what they are doing after the show has finished, And the fact they can switch out coach's for new or returning artists keeps the show fresh which helps if you run two seasons a year.
Wednesday
Survivor (CBS)
Of all the completion show's on TV this has to be my favourite as unlike most shows where it's the same deal each week this show has it's own distinct stage's of game play.
From the first few episodes of tribe against tribe battling it out to not have to vote a tribe member out is great as you start to see alliance's from in-case you do have to vote someone out, Then it move onto the single player stage where it's everybody for themselves, Then the final stage where the last few previously voted out players must decide the winner from the remaining players. With it running two seasons a year we are about to start season 36 and it still feels as fresh as the first season way back in 2000, And the next season is using past contestants mistakes and letting new players redeem them.
On Wednesday I also watched
Storage wars (A&E)
Thursday
Life in pieces (CBS)
I know I have talked out my love for this show before but this weeks episode was so good as it took the idea of short story's and made them smaller and this let them add more, this week there was 12 short Christmas themed story's and they were all great,
from Jen having a bee hole, to Greg rocking out to a Christmas song in is car each story was fantastic.
On Thursday I also watched
Mom (CBS)
Young Sheldon (CBS)
Friday
Gold rush (Discovery)
I still don't know why I love this show, I don't want to go gold digging, I don't care about how you gold mine in the present day but still I chose to watch this show first form the list of show I have to watch/catch up on. the only thing I can think of is the I'm better then you are nature of this show. As at the end of most episodes they weigh the amount of gold they have recovered that week and it's interesting to see who is closest to the target.
