Pilot (Welcome Part 2)
The last post was getting a bit to long so I decided to split them into 2 part's the first half were all the half hour shows and this post will be the hour shows.
Gold Rush (Discovery)
Gold rush follows the ups and downs of 3 gold mining crews within North America.
After watching a few episodes on TV, I was hooked and began to search out the series from the beginning
And I am now up to date and can’t wait for each new episode to air to see what new problem the crews must over come
In order to get the gold out of the ground.
I don’t know how much of the show is structured to make it more interesting but even if a bit of it was structured I don’t believe it would make my love for the show any less.
Starting out as a group of people with the typical American dream during hard time has now turned into a rivalry between the 3 crews on who can get the most money by the end of the mining season.
Chicago Fire (NBC)
Chicago Fire is part of the Chicago franchise. This show follows fire house 51 as they fight fire's and saves lives. The show is helped by having two spin-off shows,
Chicago PD (police) and Chicago MED (Medical) that it can crossover with, so you often see character appear on the other shows. Often they would have one story told over 3 show's over 3 nights It's not often you get a great fire fighter based drama.
Mr. Robot (USA)
Mr. Robot was my show of 2015. I follow Elliot Alderson a cyber security expert that wants to wipe out the world debt by taking down the biggest banking organisation with the help of a mysterious group know as F-society.
Elliot is suffering from social anxiety disorder, dissociative identity disorder and clinical depression, and played brilliantly by Rami Malek. It's just started it third season and like previous seasons it keeps you guessing as to what is real and what is in Elliot's head.
Survivor (CBS)
Survivor is one of the longest running reality competition show in the US. It started in 2000 it took the idea of competition and turned it up to 11.
The show takes 2 (later season 3) teams to a remote island and leave's them to find food, make shelter and survivor for 39 days.
Not only do they have to fend for themselves they also have to compete in challenges for perks the make life on the island a little bit better and challenges for safety as the loosing tribe must vote one of there own tribe members off. As the number's start to full the teams merge and play for individual immunity until only two people are left and the recently voted of contestants must then vote for who they want to win the million dollar prize.
The voice (NBC)
I feel there is no need to explain what this show is about, Or why I chose to watch it.
Kevin (probably) saves the world (ABC)
Kevin (Jason Ritter), a down-on-his-luck man who survived a suicide attempt, moves in with his twin sister Amy, an engineer, and Amy's teenage daughter Reese. Shortly after, he discovers a celestial being named Yvette; Yvette claims that God has tasked Kevin with saving the world, and sent Yvette to guide and protect him. Only Kevin can see and hear Yvette, so his conversations appear to be hallucinations to those around him. The series also explores a mystery, as there are supposed to be 36 righteous souls in each generation, but for unknown reasons, Kevin is the only one left. It's an easy to watch show that doesn't need to much thinking and can be a nice way to end the day.
Bull (CBS)
Bull is a show about trial science expert Jason Bull and his team at Trial analysis corporation (TAC) as they use his expert knowledge to help get his clients the trial outcome they want. Based on the early days of Dr Phil McGraw in his time as a trial consultant.
Scorpion (CBS)
Scorpion is based on the life of computer expert Walter O'Brien. The show follows Water and his team at scorpion as they help avoid major disaster's or complex global problems, With the help of FBI agent Cabe Gallo and Paige Dinnen who may not be a genius but helps them navigate the real world. The show is now in it's 4th season and still keeps a high leave of action and suspense .
The Good Doctor (ABC)
The series follows Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome from a small town, where he had a troubled childhood. He relocates to join the prestigious surgical department at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.
Freddie is best know for playing the role of Norman Bates in A&E#s Bates Motel and can take a little while to get used to him playing and new role.
With medical based shows being one of the biggest genre of recent years with so many coming and going. What makes this show stand out is the way the show Shaun diagnosing patient's. I hope this is a medical show that will be around for a few years.
Wisdom Of The Crowd (CBS)
Wisdom of the crowed is your standard police procedural about a tech mogul as he lunch's his latest app that helps solves crimes by getting the app's use's to upload video's and pictures and discus the latest information. The show has not gone down well with critics and reviewers but I find the show a nice evening show to watch after a long day.
Madam Secretary (CBS)
Madam Secretary explores Secretary Elizabeth McCord's life as the determined and newly appointed United States Secretary of State. McCord drives international diplomacy, battles office politics, and circumvents protocol if needed as she negotiates worldwide issues. The show also focuses on the personal lives of the characters. McCord is also a college professor and a former CIA analyst who left the agency for ethical and personal reasons. The President values her apolitical leanings, deep knowledge of the Middle East, flair for languages, and ability to not just think outside the box, but to not even know there is a box.
If the first post was long this one was even longer. I am going to have a think of a better way of doing this but for now this was the shows I watched last week.
Hope to see you back again next week to see what I have been watching.
