Pilot (Welcome)

It’s been a long time in the making and a few failed attempts, but this should be the light at the end od the tunnel. I have been trying to find the best way to share my love for all things TV, So as of this moment I think a weekly/monthly (depending on time) Blog post detailing some of the best and worst tv show’s I have been watching and any news I feel is worth sharing

This week I have watched new episodes of

Young Sheldon (CBS)

As you can guess by the title this New for 2017 show tells the story of Sheldon Copper (Big Bang Theory)

Growing up in Texas as he starts high school at the age of 9.
This show is a great companion to the original Big Bang Theory as it brings in some of the people and place mentioned by Sheldon,
it also does well by having Jim Parsons narrate the show. It is still in the early stages of the show (2 episodes) but this could be the beginning of a few good spin-offs.
Here’s hoping for a retail comedy from the comic book store with criminally under used Stuart (Kevin Sussman).

The Big Bang Theory (CBS)

As I have been watching Young Sheldon it shouldn’t take a genius to work out I have been a big fan of the original Big Bang Theory now in its 11th season and still going, and with that I should not need to tell you what the show is about. With this seasons main story arc being Sheldon and Amy’s wedding this season as started great and look’s to be one of the best seasons in recent years.

The Goldberg's (ABC)

The+Goldbergs+Season+2+Poster[1].jpg

This show is a great family comedy that happens to be set in the 80’S but could be set in the present day and still be just as funny.
It tells the true story of the show creators live in the 80’s with his love of all things cult form Films, TV, Sci-fi and tech.
What helps make this a must watch show for any Sit-com fan is the realism of the story’s and the attention to details with in the sets,
And also the great uses of his home camera footage at the end of the episode helps you see where the idea for the story came from.

The Jim Jefferies Show (Comedy Central)

I like to watch all types of shows but it does help if they are funny so when it comes to news I like to be told the world is going up in flames by every funny people,
which is good the Comedy Central as given Australian comedian Jim Jefferies his own show.
Like most of these shows it’s a great half an hour of the latest news told with a comedy spin,
I you know anything about Jim I could guess it’s a bit from one of this Netflix specials having a slight dig at the gun problem in the US.
Well this show is a more gentle version of that (less bad language) but still just as funny. This show is for anyone who loves The Daily Show (CC) and Last Week Tonight (HBO).

Comic Book Men (AMC)

As you are reading this I could guess you like all things TV or cult like I do so it should come as no surprise this I love Comic Book Men.
A weekly show telling tales from the front line of a comic book store owned by Kevin Smith.
It’s interesting to see the type of customers they get popping in to buy and sell items from/to the shop.
Not only is it a great show full of comic book loving question and nerding out it also has a companion Podcast fro m Kevin’s own Smodcast network called The Secret Stash.

Last Week Tonight With John Oliver (HBO)

After a very successful run as correspondent for The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and looking to be his replacement HBO stepped in and offer Jon his own show.
With the unique nature of HBO Jon is able to as pretty much what he likes and talk about subjects not traditionally covered by late night talk/satire shows

With John being and outsider (British) he can look at things without bias or taking sides. This helps when he looks at the latest from the political world.
What also help set this show apart from others is most of the episode is spent on one subject that shows the level of research done to keep the show both factual
and interesting whilst still being funny.
