Welcome Back (Update)

Do you ever get the feeling of Deja Vue?

I'm back to trying to start a new streak. Most year’s I have dropped off after a few weeks.

To start, I will explain where I have been, at the beginning of the year, the world went to pot, and I lost the desire to keep this up. Also, there was not a lot of TVs to talk about.

I was going to start at the beginning I September, but after looking at the schedule, it would have started and then stopped for the Christmas break (still don’t know why this is a thing but hey), so here I am with the first post of the new season.

Thank you for coming back. I hope to keep this going until the end of this season and grow a group of people that love TV as much as I do.

In the crazy idea of making this feel more like an obligation/Job
I created a Patreon page hoping that if I get any amount of money I would have to keep it up as someone is donating me there own money and I will fill guilty if I don’t fulfil the obligation.

If you would like to help keep my on this crazy journey please hit
the.

I Have Been Watching

Rookie The Season 3.jpg

The Rookie S3 E1 “Consequences”

ABC - Comedy/Crime/Drama

Last season was left on a cliffhanger with John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) trying to prove that Armstrong is not the great officer he makes out.
The season opener focuses on John trying to clear his name after finding the money Armstrong has hidden within his walls.
This shows is a great way to start my T.V. viewing week; I am also a big fan of Nathan Fillian, and I'm pleased he managed to get a role as good as Richard Castle (Castle)
With every new season of a show, I'm always interested to see what they are going to do to progress the story along, so it does not feel stagnant, stale, or boring. This season's twist is that John can't progress further up within the police department, and he will be a patrol cop for the rest of his time with the LAPD.
With TV starting to get back to somewhat normal, I am looking forward to the following few months and hope that this will not be its last season.

A.P. Bio S3 E1-7

Peacock - Comedy

With a surplus of new episodes, I have been going back and catching up with some of the shows I have dropped in recent years for many reasons. So looking at my watched list, it found that I have entirely missed Season 3 of A.P. Bio.

What surprised me most about this show is that I could remember how the previous season ended, With the school secretary going back to high school. I was looking forward to seeing how Jack Griffin was going to continue not properly teaching A.P Bio but instead using his students to seek revenge on people. But after watching the first few episodes, I was back in, and the show was just as good as I remember.

I the first few episodes, we have scenarios like Jack buying a replacement popcorn maker only to find out it's a version for a modal doles house. Jack trying to ghostwrite a book for a famous author, and another episode where Jack loses a large amount of money.

I was also happy to see that it's been renewed for a 4th season. I was delighted when it was picked-up/moved to Peacock NBC's new streaming service and look forward to the new season sometime this year.

Zoey's Playlist.jpg

Zoey's extraordinary playlist S2 E1
“Zoey's Extraordinary Return”

NBC - Comedy/Drama/Musical

One of last season's surprises was Zoey's extraordinary playlist was a weird Glee-style show with an out-there premise. Zoey gets the ability to know what people are thinking but only through songs (Heart song).

Going into the first season, I was expecting to be happy and jolly, but within a few episodes, it was clear that there would be a sad side to this show.

In the first episode of the new season, Zoey has been off work and staying to herself, just trying to get over her father's loss. But now she has to get back out into the world, Back to work and see if she still has the power to he people's "Heart Song".

When Zoey gets back to work not only is she greeted with a musical number welcoming her back to the office, but she also all the new changes that have been implemented during her time away.

We also meet George the replacement for Max, who is looking for a great business to start. Also, Zoey is offered a new position within the company as Joan Is taking a new job heading up the Asia division and she sees Zoey as her replacement sometime soon.

I am looking forward to seeing how this season will play out.

Man with a Plan S4 E8-11

CBS - Comedy

Another show I was almost finished with was "Man with a Plan" I was somewhere within the fourth and final season, so I just started the season over.

Being honest I'm not sure how I feel about this show. When it started, I was surprised at how funny it was and how I did not see Matt LeBlanc as is Friends character but as a new person, But as the show continued I found myself leaving the show till near the end of what I had to watch each week, which is why I have an also full season to finish. It's always nice to see a show get multiple renewals and I can see why it ended with only four seasons as most of the cliché story ideas has already been done.

Hopefully, Matt can go onto another as successful show like this as he's a brilliant comedy actor and any network should be falling over themselves to get him on one of their shows.

Freddy Dodge.jpg

Gold Rush: Freddy Dodge Mine Rescue S1 E1
”Last Chance Gold”

Discovery + - Reality-TV

For anyone new here I am a big fan of the Gold Rush Franchise, so when I saw that there was going to be another one added to the family, I was excited as it put a new spin on the format. Out was the regular follow a group of people try and make money gold mining and in was Freddy Dodge & Juan Ibarra both expert gold miners going to struggling gold mines to see if they can improve the gold reclama within a week. Only asking in return that they get a % of the profits over that they were already collecting for the rest of the season. I Like a lot of similar shows were an expert goes in and fix things, but what makes this different is that this one so far has not had any arguments or shouting matches. It's also interesting to see different mines and how they recover the gold from the ground and even the fixes implemented to improve the recovery total. I hope they can keep this show going as long as they others and even crossover with some of the other shows in the Gold Rush Universe. I know that Juan, as been to help Fred with his setup who has, is own mine for the first time this season and if needed help again would make for an exciting episode.

Gold Rush S11 E11 “Frenemies”

Discovery - Reality-TV

As much as l like shows ou have to pay attention to and concentrate, I also love shows where you can also have it on in the background and not have to look at the T.V. Gold Rush is one of those shows where you can listen to the narrator explain what is going on and you should be able to visualise what is happening on screen. But every once in a while, you do need to look up at the screen. In this week episode, Tony was trying to move a new wash plant that had now been used for over 30 years. Parker was looking for new ground he could mine for the remainder of the season and had to ask in the most unlikely place, and also Fred as to find a way to stop his wash plant from continually getting clogged. While Tony's crew are moving parts of the new wash plant Mike's truck court fire but luckily Mike was not in or near the truck at the time, but in the end, Tony gets his new wash plant working on his mine site ready to sue next week. Also this week Parker needed to find new mining ground so when to Tony as he had a piece of ground, but no water licences and Parker had the licences but not the ground. In a surprising meeting, Tony was more than happy to let Parker and as he put it the gold is better in his pocket than in the ground. And finally, Fred was having trouble with this wash plant getting clogged up with pay dirt, so to fix this they planned to put a flat metal sheet at an angle to speed up the water used to move the pay dirt and keep the pay on a level surface
