Season 3 Episode 1: A New Beginning

Good evening and welcome back to I Have Been Watching.
I know it's been a long time since the last time. I decided to make season 3 a Mid-season replacement.  So here we are after the Christmas break, and most of the shows stating to return and replacement beginning now is as good a time as any to start I.H.B.W season 3.

Also this season I am trying to make the site look and feel better, so hopefully, I can get it looks just how I want it too.

News

Renewed - Cancelled - Ordered

This week only two shows have been renewed, and they couldn't be more different. "Making it" is a competition show where a group of amateur crafters compete each week for patch's, pride and money (they don't make a big thing about that). It's has been renewed for its third season.

The other show is "New Amsterdam." a medical drama about the new maverick medical director of New Amsterdam hospital New York. When a show is usually renewed, it's for a single season, but NBC is doing so well with New Amsterdam they have given it a three-season renewal keeping it on your TV screens until 2023 at least.

Monday 

Nurses - Global - Season 1 Episode 1: Incoming

As you should know by now, I love a medical show. most weeks
 I watch Chicago MED, The Resident, New Amsterdam and even the comedy Corals second act. So when I heard about a new medical show from Canada about Nurses, I was excited to add another show to the list, but after watching the first episode, this show felt slow. I know better than to judge a show on just one episode so I just      
 hope the series gets better.

In the opening episode, we see a significant attack on the news when a vehicle was purposefully rammed into a large crowd coursing a major emergency and one that will test the new nurses.
After it was discovered, one of the victims is the curses of the incident.

Tuesday 

Black-ish - ABC - Season 6 Episode 11: Hair Day

 This weeks episode was just brilliant. It centred on Diana and her going on a "hair journey"  black hair and the exciting things black woman do to their hair to obtain the look they want. Also in this week episode, Dre and Junior have a cook-off to see if using a digital smoker is better then keep it traditional and using a BBQ

What makes this show fantastic is that it’s not a comedy for black people, its a comedy about black people for everybody. Even when its such a niche reference and one not everybody has experience in but they explain why it’s an important topic to talk about.

Wednesday 

Zoey's Extraordinary playlist - NBC -Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

In this preview episode of Zoey's,,, much like a superhero film we see the origin of how Zoey gets her ability to hear people's inner thoughts but what makes this show different from many of similar shows and movies is that she hears them in the form of a song. When I first heard about this show, I was worried that they would use to 40 songs to help bring in a younger audience, but after seeing the first episode, the diverse range of songs has got me more intrigued for what songs they are going to use in the future.
Also in the streaming age, I can see them using Spotify to great uses and make playlist's ether for each episode individually or one for the season as a whole and keep adding to it every week.

Thursday 

60 days in - A&E - Season 6 Episode 1-2

As much as I love 60 days in I alway tale off halfway through each season but after watching the first two episodes, I have more invested than I have ever been as they are openly telling you one 3 out of seven inmates make it to the end.
In the first episode, the first inmate gave the signal that they wanted to be removed from the program. In the second episode, one of the female participants gets into a situation where her only set of clothes are takin to be washed without getting a spare set, so she has to borrow a t-shirt from her cellmate or face a night naked in her cell.  After waiting for the final season of Mr Robot to end, I can start watching it with a friend, a few months ago i introduced him to the show, so when we got court up we decided to wait till all episode had aired so we could watch it uninterrupted. So far we have seen two episodes I can see this show having more surprises then in previous seasons. As the show comes to an end, I hope to have the story nicely wrapped up and no loose ends.
