Welcome back to me weekly TV viewing update. If you have not read my previous post's this is where I talk about some of the TV shows I have been watching this week
So let's get started with the new shows that are starting this week and then follow that with some of this weeks viewing.

What Have I Been Watching
Chicago PD/Fire (NBC)
It's that time of the year again, like Christmas and birthdays this is just as exciting. We have the Chicago crossover event. Due to the TV schedule this year the crossover started with PD where they had a suspect setting off IDS's and almost kills Trudy the desk sergeant while she as being interviewed at a local news station. by the end of the episode it was clear they needed to get into a suspects house and get access to this laptop, This is where they needed the help of Chicago Fire to keep the suspects out of the way while the put cloning software on his laptop.
So the next day we had the conclusion of the crossover with the help of house 51's paramedics to keep the suspect busy and out of the way. After they got what they wanted from the laptop they then needed the fire teams help looking at the device's used and if any similar have been used in the past.
This crossover event was one of the best ever I was thinking it was a shame they could not include Med into the story but I think it might have seemed forced and unrealistic.
I am looking forward to another crossover soon.
Survivor: Ghost Island (CBS)
If you don't know already i am a big fan of Survivor and i am loving the use of old advantage's from previous seasons. As i have only recently started watching this in the last few years it's good to know why an item is important within the shows history.
This weeks episode saw the contestants switch up teams and for a show where making alliances this is great for the viewers as we get to see players scramble to keep themselves safe for another 3 days.
The fact this show is into it's 36th season just show's how great a concept this is, It also helps that they can get 15 episodes out of about 40 days of filming. What I am hoping for in the future for this show is that they can return to past locations, I know they have used Fiji for a few seasons now and it looks great and work's well for the whole stuck on an island and fending for yourself but I would like to see how contestants play the game from a desert or up a cold mountain or even in a forest in wales.
As yet I don't have a favourite player or someone I want to win but there is still time.
Man With A Plan (CBS)
After Friends came to an end Matt LeBanc could have stayed at home an live of the repeat fee's, but like any true professional he kept trying to find another great role to take on, And with Adam Burns a father of 3 kids and a successful business owner this could be his best role since Friends.
This weeks episode had Adam try and win an arguments over is wife and had some of the best comedy moments of this season. The uses of not saying anything in-order to win the argument made me laugh as i have wanted to do this
Again this is a show that is still awaiting a channel to pick up this show and i can see it fitting in well on E4 along with similar show Kevin Can Wait.
Good Girls (NBC)
I loved the first episode of this new series and have high hopes for the season as a whole. From the opening robbery that set's the premise of this show up to the panic of having to give all the money back after the store they robbed was used to lander money.
From the preview of next weeks episode and there offer to do a deal with the criminal they still owe money to. Like all the shows i watch i give them each 4 episodes to tell us more about the characters and their back story.
The one problem i have with an actor from a successful show taking on a new role is i find it hard not to keep thinking of them in there previous role. This is true for Mae Whitman as i can't not see her from her role in parenthood.
Comic Book Men (AMC)
I may not be a comic book fan but i can still enjoy this show as the guy chemistry is what i believe makes this show. what they have done with this show is find a format what works great and can be repeated each week, but as most of the show is based on the customers coming into the show.
Every once and a while someone will bring in an item i once had and like other similar shows it's great to remember playing with them and am always surprised at the price they want for them.
This week episode was the store host the first costume contest for dog's with the help of Burt Ward.
This show is one of the few show to have been on so long and not made it over to the UK yet. I could see it fitting in perfectly on DAVE was it could easily be show before ore even after Go 8 bit as they appeal to a similar demographic and with almost 100 episodes it would take them some time before they had to repeat themselves.
9-1-1 (FOX)
What i love about 9-1-1 the interaction between the 3 main characters is believable and not forced in anyway. In this episode they all had to deal with a full moon and all the problems that supposedly come along with that, from a man trying to enter an elderly persons home to a man trying to bite an other persons face off. Also we got to see Abby solve a murder with the help of some 9-1-1 calls. This is just another reason why i believe Ryan Murphy is one of the creates TV writers of all time, and why he is deserving of the $300 million development deal he as received from Netflix, He is the mastermind behind some of the biggest TV hit's of recent years from Glee to American horror story and even Nip/Tuck
This show also helps by having actors that have also been in some major TV shows,
Connie Britton was in Friday night lights, Nashville and Spin city
Peter Krause was in Sports night, Six feet under and parenthood
As soon as i heard about this show i was worried as i already have a emergency service's based drama from the Chicago franchise but this shows style is different enough that i have made room for this show and am trying my best to keep up with it each week.
This show was recently picked up by Sky Living and is a great fit along with their other show's.
