News

Renewed - Cancelled - Ordered

Welcome to this weeks news.

It’s another week, but this week we actually have some news.
So This week ABC has renewed both “The Good Doctor” for its 5th season and “Big Sky” for its 2nd season

I have loved “The Good Doctor” since it first started and am looking forward to another season of great stories.
I had planned to watch “Big Sky” when it began but it got too far into start but knowing its back for another season I’m going to catch up with it as soon as I can (Probably during the summer)

Also this week
NBC handed out a renewal to “Kenan” & “Young Rock” both getting their second season
I have started both of these shows but like normal I have fallen behind but will catch up before the next seasons begin.

There is still space on most of the major networks so I am still expecting news to become
in the near future.

The sitcom is set in a frame story where Johnson is running as a candidate in the 2032 United States presidential election. Each episode involves Johnson participating in an interview or other conversation which leads him to flashback to a story from one of three periods of Johnson’s life (except for the pilot and season 1 finale, where all three are shown): as a ten-year-old in Hawaii; as a high school student in Pennsylvania; and as a college student and football player at the University of Miami.

I Have Been Watching

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist “Zoey’s Extraordinary Double Date“

NBC - Comedy/Drama/Musical

Zoey's Playlist.jpg

She’s finally seeking help for her gift. In this weeks episode of “Zoey’s”, we finally see Zoey at the therapist talking to a neutral party about how she can see people sing their feelings to her using popular music. I can tell this will be an excellent storyline addition. She can keep going back whenever she hears another song but is still afraid to say it to her close friends.

Because Zoey has been dealing with so many peoples problems, Zoey is beginning to feel like she has not been fully committed to her relationship with Simon, so she is determined to dedicate an entire day just to him. This involves doing whatever he wants. When Rose brings up the idea of a double date that consists of a fun run around the city with everyone dressed up in crazy costumes, Zoey reluctantly agrees.

On the day of the race, everyone is in their costumes. Simon is dressed as Prince, and Zoey is dressed as static. She’s wearing a top covered in small clothing items like they are statically attached to her.

After the race, everyone headed to MaxiMo’s for dinner. There, Max is offered the chance to open a pop-up restaurant in New York with the same USP as MaxiMo’s. Everyone is excited, but Max is unsure and needs more time to think about it. But then he’s asked if he wants to stay in Chicago or spend time in New York. He tells people he’s not sure, but Zoey hears his heart song “New York state of mind” by “Billy Joel”.

Also, in this week’s episode, Mo meets Perry’s Ex-boyfriend for the first time, but to sure things go well, Perry asked Zoey to keep an eye on how things are going and pop over to their table are add to the conversation. I am loving this Mo storyline. I see it as an essential subject to talk about, and they are doing that perfectly.

The final storyline playing out in between the other two was Zoey’s mother Maggie continuing to go back to the casino and spending money. When her friend Deb turns up at Maggie’s home to tell her about her husband’s gambling addiction and how she feels she’s the one to have opened that world to her, Maggie comes clean about what she has been doing at the casino. It turns out the money she was using was from the landscaping job she was doing for the creepy rich guy we saw a few episodes ago.

She had planned to have some fun with the money and when it was gone she was done, but it turns out shess very lucky and keept on winning and now has a small pile of money and unsure what to do with it. After discussing it with both Zoey and Deb, they plan to spend some on her grandchild, give some of the local animal shelters and use the rest on a cruise for her and Debs.

At the moment, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is still awaiting a decision as to if it gets a third season, I hope it does as it’s telling important stories in a fun and sweet way. It’s got some tremendous musical number’s.

Bull “Under the Influence”

CBS - Comedy/Crime/Drama

Bull WL.jpg

This week’s Bull was another one, with Chunk being the main topic. When his daughter Anna reached out to him after nothing for about five weeks, he had a suspicion about her intentions. After meeting, she brought up the fact her new boyfriend needs a lawyer, but not for him but for one of his students. This opens the door to the fact that there is a significant age difference between them. Knowing that it’s not his place to agree to take on a case, Chunk has to get Bull to agree to a meeting and may be taking on the matter.

So when Anna and her new boyfriend came into TAC to discuss why one of his students needed a lawyer. Callum, the student in question, was arrested robbing a car for the owns driveway but was confronted when the owner was sleeping in the car’s back seats. This news was a surprise to Brooks as Callum was a perfect student with a remarkable ability to write great stories and regularly be given extra homework to help improve his storytelling.

Before the case started, the prosecutor was willing to move the case to family court due to Callum’s age but only if he gave up the name of his partner how drove the car away after the owner of the car detained Callum. During the case, it was revealed that Callum had crated a list in his notebook titled “Things to use to break into a car”, but that was only for a short story.

After Brooks told his story about being in a similar situation as Callum and someone saw some good in im and gave him an unpaid job but would get a royalty from the money earned, and that’s how he’s able to pay for TAC’s services, Callum came clean and owned up that his partner in crime was Vanessa a student in some of his classes. Still, she was only doing it for her controlling older brother.

It was another great episode and showed that the case doesn’t always need to be handled by Benny to make it an exciting episode. With the subject of his election run brought up, there will be some great episodes coming up.

Family Guy “Meg Goes to College“

Fox- Animation/Comedy

Family Guy.jpg

In this week’s Family Guy Episode, Meg went to college. After Peter figures out that Meg goes to college, she can get a good job and look after him well in his old age, but as he doesn’t have the money to pay for Megs college to help pay for it. Even a letter of recommendation from Big bird won’t help.

When Meg’s principal offers to photoshop meg into sports photos to help secure a sports scholarship, she is accepted into the college. Still, after moving Meg into her dorm room, Peter loves the college vibe and decides to take a spare bed in a shared room.

After Peter accidentally gives away that they faked her college application, the dean of students tells Meg she has the leave until she can prove she can do all the things on her application.

Some of the skills she has to prove are that she can Sing and Dance, Speak Russian and finally Windsurf over a waterfall. The best part of this episode was getting Meg to sing “Love is a battlefield” in Russian to mark two things from her application.

While Meg is away at College, Stewie turns her old room into a gym after Brian said he wants to get into shape again. SO Stewie tells Brian he knows a guy that can help him. This turns out just to be Stewie himself. After breaking his leg, Brian decides to ask Stewie’s enemy Doug to help him get back into shape. But when Brian sees how upset Stewie is about this, he has no choice but the fire Doug and ends any plan of getting back into shape. What makes this story so funny is that after Doug makes a grand exit and screen, he comes back asking for help getting down the stairs, and Brian tells him that Stewie does it all by himself. After giving it a try, Doug gives in, and Brian has to carry him down the stairs; this s then followed by Stewie very slowly making his way down one step at a time.

Chicago Fire “Don’t Hang up”

NBC - Action/Drama

Chicaog fire 2021.jpg

It’s been a while since I last covered Chicago Fire, and that’s not because I have not been watching; I have just been trying to change up the shows I discuss., But this weeks episode was great. It showed why it’s an amazing show.

The main storyline was Kidd getting a call from a young woman how attended one of the “Girls on fire” classes needing to be rescued. The young girl did not know where she was and was unwilling to give out her name. she had been locked in the house’s basement but managed to find a burner phone to call. After getting help from Severide, Boden and Kylie, they manage to finger out the caller’s identity and a rough area where to start searching. With both Boden and Severide on the lookout for houses that look like great hideouts, Kidd is called again by the scared young girl butt. She is brought upstarts and told if she didn’t do she was told they would beat her just like they had done to her brother. With her still being on the phone, Kidd asked Boden to put on his sirens until she could hear them over the phone that why managing to find the girl’s location.

After finding the house, Boden and Severide had to find a way to either get inside or get the people inside out. So after knocking and telling the person who answered the door that there was a gas leak and they were in danger and finally starting a count down as to how long they had they managed to get everyone out they used the girl and her brother into the car and drove away to safety.

On a side storyline, Boden’s wife was having problems with the internet at home, so she came to the firehouse hoping to use the internet to teach her online school classes. After Darren and Blake offered to help set things up, they soon got involved with live demonstrations, making the students pay more attention. Before the online learning began, both Darren and Black had asked Boden if they could take a weekend off for a planned weekend away with other local firefighters of a similar age so they could bond and chat with each other; Boden said he would have to look into it as they had not been there enough to amount enough days off. Still, after the day helping his wife out, he agreed to them taking time off.

With the knowledge that One Chicago is coming back next season, I’m looking forward to seeing how this season ends.

And there we have it. That’s another update done. Just a quick reminder, please don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and if you have enjoyed that I have been doing here and want it to continue, please consider becoming a patron.
