Welcome to Episode 7 of my second season in the crazy world of TV.
I say this every year but I already have a full list of shows I am behind on that will take up most of my time this summer and with some shows I am just going to not even try and catch up but just wait until the end of the season and plan my viewing for the summer.
A real mixed bag of shows had been given another season. This week Fox gave The Masked Singer a second season CBS is unfinished with God Friended Me and Showtime main stay Shameless is coming back for it’s 10th season. With so many shows Renewed TV networks are starting to fill up there time slots for the next season and that means any new show will have it’s work cut out to keep it’s slot the next TV season.
The Masked Singer (Fox)
The Masked Singer is a singing competition guessing game based on the Korean format King of Mask Singer. The performers are celebrities wearing elaborate head to toe costumes to conceal their identities from the host, panelists, audience, and other contestants. 12 celebrities appear on the show with one singer eliminated each week and unmasked. Small hints are given to help viewer play and guess along. The "who-sung-it" is hosted by Nick Cannon and features a star-studded detective playing panel: Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. The competitors are all "household names" and have a combined 65 Grammy nominations, 16 multi-Platinum albums, 16 Emmy nominations, 9 Broadway shows, 4 Super Bowl titles, and 4 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
God Friended Me (CBS)
An atheist's life is turned upside down when God adds him as a friend on Facebook.
Shameless (Showtime)
Watch the Irish American family the Gallagher's deal with their alcoholic father Frank. Fiona, the eldest daughter, takes the role of the parent to her five brothers and sisters. Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl, and Liam deal with life on the South Side of Chicago. Fiona balances her sex life and raising her siblings. Every episode is another crazy situation that one or more of the Gallagher six get into. Watch them grow and learn how to make their way in life with what little they have.
The Goldbergs: Major League
With a show into its sixth season, it is starting to feel like they are close to running out of stories to tell, or pop culture references and with cast members leaving to star in the spin-off but then an episode like this weeks comes along and feels me with hope this show can last another six seasons.
This weeks episode was centred on the idea that they wanted the school baseball team to become so bad that the funding can be spent elsewhere within the school. But after the new baseball team discover they are only on the side to lose they put a plan into place to make the team better.
The other story of the ep is that Erica is a bad influence on Geoff after they went away for the weekend and the family car went off the edge of the cliff.
This is a show I have loved from the very beginning and never falls the leave me happy.
